The Eagleford Pipeline project, spanning 2.2 miles across Nueces Bay in Corpus Christi, Texas, involved the installation of a robust 16-inch pipeline. The complexity of this task was heightened by the incorporation of two Horizontal Directional Drills (HDDs). Orion played a pivotal role, executing precise excavation work for the HDD punch-out template using the innovative ClamVision software. This technology allowed for mechanical digging at the tie-in location, strategically positioned in the center of the bay.

Our comprehensive support and excavation efforts included the deployment of crane barges, shallow water tugs, and meticulous HDD support surveys for foreign pipelines. The logistical challenge of transporting 1-mile sections of the pipeline to the excavation site for retrieval showcased Orion's strategic planning and operational strengths. Operating on a demanding schedule, the project required 24-hour operations to achieve timely completion.
